With Peter Frankopan in virtual conversation with Cundill History Prize winners Julia Lovell, Maya Jasanoff and Daniel Beer

Featuring 2020 jurors Anne Applebaum, Lyse Doucet, Eliga Gould and Sujit Sivasundaram announcing the Cundill History Prize shortlist

Join us as we take a critical look at this moment in time, with Peter Frankopan, Chair of the Jury, in conversation with three past winners of the Cundill History Prize: Julia Lovell (2019, Maoism), Maya Jasanoff (2018, The Dawn Watch), and Daniel Beer (2017, The House of the Dead), each bringing their particular expertise to the table to assess our present global circumstances. The world-renowned historians will also explore how incisive history- writing and well-researched study of the past can help guide us through volatile moments in human history.

Following this, Peter Frankopan will welcome the full 2020 jury — Anne Applebaum, Lyse Doucet, Eliga Gould and Sujit Sivasundaram — to announce and celebrate the shortlist.
